TRADE UNIONS
Do we need them?
By Max Allen
For years labour unions dominated
the workforce. From Teamsters to
Teachers the list waxed long. Gaining
ground through the collective power of the workers and the ever-looming threat
of strikes, they benefitted.
As workers united, so did
organized crime. Union member gains vaporized
as organized crime seized control of every labour union in the country.
With ‘Right to Work’
legislation, workers have settled into a fairer and far less contentious state
as they ply their trades and live their lives.
With the stability of the
labour front today, there are still a few unions whose criminality and corruption
continue to pollute the rights of a free people.
This is the 21st
Century. “Do we really need labour
unions?”
I’m Max,
and that’s the way I see it.
