A furry hero who didn't hesitate to rescue
the unfortunate.
On a bright sunny day an unnamed brown cat strolled across the plaza. It was a nice day and the plaza was brightly lit and peaceful ... or so it seemed. Unseen and lurking in the harsh shadows of the noonday sun was a black cat. This wasn't just any black cat, but a V.B.C. [Vicious Black Cat] which leapt from hiding and set upon the peaceful and unsuspecting brown cat.

As seen in this video, there was no provocation but only evil in the heart of this dark-furred assassin wannabe. Like a torpedo the VBC can be seen streaking across the plaza and totally overpowering the unsuspecting brown cat in a matter of seconds.
As the brown cat fights for its life in comes 'Super Cat'. Leaping from a nearby balcony our hero displays the compassion and courage so rare among cats today. As our hero hit the ground he immediately set upon the evildoer, driving the would-be assassin back into the shadows from whence it came. The brown victim was not seriously hurt and was treated and released at a local veterinary clinic. All is well because of 'Super Cat'.

Fearless is the protection of one's young and this ferocity is obvious in this pack of ground squirrels going up against a cobra. After a few minutes a mongoose joined the fray and the tide turned. The mongoose is an accomplished cobra killer and this one managed to scare off the intruder rather than eat it.

We've all seen those swirling miniature cyclones, they pop up out of nowhere, kick up a lot of dust, and then just as suddenly they disappear. Well, they can be fun to watch but for a 7-year-old boy, not a lot of fun to be inside of.
Dateline,
A bit of a scare, but the umpire was there. Umpire Aidan Wiles, age 17, quickly responded to the dust-up and picked up the small catcher carrying him to safety.
Well, I'm not so sure the kid was in any real danger, but he certainly got a mouthful of dust. I suppose one has gotta ask this question. "What are the odds of a dust devil rising exactly on home plate and perfectly around the boy?"
I spoke with meteorologist, Dr. Alan Quail who says, "Dust devils are an enigma and generally harmless. In this case, having watched the video a number of times, I'm shocked the devil would form around an object as large as a 7-year-old boy. Dust devils don't usually form around things, animals, or people. Anything entering a dust devil almost always causes it to dissipate. In this case, the dust devil actually seemed to gain in strength right up until the moment the boy was physically removed from the eye of the dust devil.
The minute the boy was lifted out of the dust column, it can be seen to dissipate almost immediately. It's almost as though it was feeding on the boy and when deprived of his presence it 'starved' and went away."
There's another mystery with a happy ending. I think there was a lot more than a swirling column of air involved and I think if the boy had been left alone in the eye of the devil he might have been consumed. In the lad's own words, what was a 10 second ordeal felt like 10 minutes. Is this evidence of a time shift or dimensional vortex? Is this something more sinister or evil? You tell me.

These televisions [by my experience and many other people I've talked to] Vizio televisions rate on a scale of 1~10, a solid 3~3! From impossibly complex software to hostile menu action and user interface to an annoying habit of needing to be unplugged and plugged in again! Yep, that's called a 'hard boot' and shouldn't be necessary. In a decent television like Samsung or Sony this wouldn't be a problem.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

P.S. IT HAPPENED AGAIN! The frequent requirement to 'hard boot' this piece of sh!t by unplugging it and plugging it in again has struck again. How is it we have become so thin-skinned?
As a boy I remember listening to and speaking with others on all manner of
things. I was taught that openness in
conversation and ideas was one of the things that once made

It's just a joke!
I never once saw one of my pals or other friends take offence at the jokes told. In fact, we were all pretty good at countering a joke-for-a-joke ... in our own sophomoric way. Well, that was then.
That was then.
This is now!
This is now! Thanks to the incredibly effective leftist rewriting of the English language and sculpting of our very social behaviour and conversation, we are now a people inflicted with a language of 'new speak'. Our once beautiful and elegant language has become one of thermonuclear possibility and 'end of the world' promise.
Time after time we have seen movie stars, broadcasters, and talking heads of every stripe branded as bigots and worse for an innocent a slip of the tongue. Such slips are understandable as most of those being roasted on the fire of today's political correctness are of my generation, having grown up in the 1960's and 70's. Old habits die hard, but if you don't break them they can kill your future.
Here's the lowdown. Here's the frightful result of this 'language sculpting' and 'idea shaping': In a world where 'hate crime' laws presume to actually read your mind and interpret your thoughts and where certain words once common in the language are now only allowed among the privileged few, we are slaves to the edicts of the left.
Some words are reserved for 'special' people or races.
Watch what you say and watch what you think. Watch what you do and watch what you may be thinking of doing or saying. Watch it! Watch out for 'Neighbour Nazis' and most importantly watch yourself! Watch yourself? Hell yah! Watch yourself at all times!
Today our very neighbours, bent to the angle of social correctness required, have become our police. Gladly ratting us out, they feel it their civic duty to keep us in line ... their line ... the leftist line. In the grand traditions of Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and Maoist China, we are becoming our own 'police force' in service to the government!
Let me tell you about this: My friend Jerry was in the break room chatting with a couple of buddies and having a beer at lunch time. In the course of their break room chat Jerry used the word n!ggr twice in casual passing. His friends used the word a couple of times, and one of these guys is black. Nobody was offended, at least nobody in this little group of buddies.
There was no malice and there was no bitterness in their socially incorrect exchange of words. It was 'business as usual' for a group of guys who grew up in the less socially sensitive 70's.

received.
Then came the dawn of the next day and Jerry was called into his supervisor's office to discuss a matter of 'grave importance'. Jerry was to find out that a snoopy 'Nazi' in the next room had taken phone video of the encounter. Jerry's supervisor and the company's HR specialist were beside themselves with horror! The delicate leftist sensibilities of management were inflamed with politically charged plasma of social justice.
Tit for tat, push for shove, it resulted in the termination of Jerry's 14-year career with a successful company and it resulted in suspension of one of his friends. Robert, the black man in the group, was never called in to the office. He was never questioned or charged for his participation in this 'unholy event'. After all, his 'protected status' left him immune from corporate prosecution. To his credit, he quit his job in protest for his friends.
Jerry had been found guilty of 'hate speech' and in today's world of social and political correctness there is no appeal and there can be no forgiveness for the ultimate in horrible crimes ... that of 'hate speech'. Especially horrible is uttering that single most thermonuclear word, n!ggr! You'll notice that I have had to alter spelling and construction of this 'most horrible and unforgivable' of words.
What have we done? How have we changed our very way of thinking? How have we allowed our society to sink into the abyss of social conformity and socialist mind sculpting? How can we continue to live in the shadow of shame as a 'once great' nation? How is it that we are no longer the people once lauded as the standard bearer for the world? However, whatever, whenever, we have lost! Can we ever win again? That is the question.

Misleading ads on T.V. are preying on
the elderly poor.
It was May the 4th on a balmy Spring day when I caught a T.V. ad with a friendly looking young man telling me how I can get up to $2,000 life insurance for as little as $9.95 a month. The pleasant fellow on the T.V. told me that this is important because it can help reduce the financial burden on my family when I finally kick the bucket.
It all sounds great doesn't it? Well, in the ad they seem to downplay the 2-year waiting period during which time my policy is really just a piggy bank. If I kick off in those first 2 years I get my money back. That's all; they just give me back what I paid in. With a $9.95 a month policy that means [if I die 23 months, 3 weeks, and 6 days later] I'm gonna get back about $236.31 ... the amount I paid in, and a lot of that 'piggy bank' money has been eaten away by inflation.
Curious as I am I called their toll-free number and asked some questions. Here's how our conversation went:

I decided to ask him what my premium would be to get that up to $2,000 coverage advertised on television. He looked that up and told me that $2,000 coverage is gonna cost me $29.85 a month ... a lot more than the $9.95 a month they push on television.
Now let's get real. $2,000 today is just about what it takes to burn me up and put my ashes in a can. Done ... dead ... money gone. And that's today in 2023, what with inflation and say another 10 or 15 years later I doubt $2,000 is gonna do the trick. You might as well toss me into a burning building somewhere and spend the money on a nice night out on the town.

I told David that I would need at least $10,000 coverage and he told me that's gonna cost me $139.30 a month [with that 2-year 'piggy bank' waiting period of course]. That seemed little pricey to me so I called a couple of other major life insurance companies and they all quoted me about $31 dollars a month for that $10,000 policy! Wow!
This means that the apparent 'bait-and-switch' tactics of these $9.95 a month insurance companies are meant to draw in the indigent, elderly, and disabled and anyone else living on fixed or minimum wage incomes. There are a lot of people, largely elderly minorities, who get excited about the low monthly premium they see on the tube, and then get sucked into paying much higher premiums for more realistic coverage.
In my opinion, my opinion alone, it's a
scam!
