Frighten the masses and increase their anxiety.

It's a fact that the mission of the mainstream media is to keep us all on edge, whatever the reason, as to keep up circulation and keep us watching all the time.  The mindless American public believes most of what they see and hear, and therein lies the rub:  Media lies, people believe, and that's why we are all losers in the face of the Beijing hyped media.
