In my neck of the woods the only radio talk talent we have is either a 2-man echo chamber in the morning followed by an afternoon possibly drunken host who talks mostly to himself.

Well, that’s the bigger of our two radio stations anyway.  This other station hosts a guy so insecure it makes one want to avoid the embarrassment.  Unable and unwilling to face the hard realities of local and national events he selects his guests very carefully, all this for nothing more than ‘powder puff’ or ‘softball’ interviews.

What good is talk radio when its daily ration of phone-in guests is the same dozen or so regulars in this morning coffee clutch?  What good is it anyway when a talk show host encourages rudeness, self-centeredness, and outright offensive idiocy from a particularly abrasive and remarkably demented ‘regular’ on his show.

We need power, courage, and aggressiveness in talk radio!
