Aging out of responsible government
Our elected leadership is growing too old, too fast!
We face a peculiar state of event and occurrence in America today. We find ourselves in the midst of a burgeoning gerontocracy, a government ruled by the very, very old. It’s funny that age seems to have absolutely no bearing in holding government office, but it does everywhere else.
When we turn 70 years of age we feel the pinch with the DMV [Department of Motor Vehicles] as they no longer issue 4 or 6 year licenses. In most states, people over 70 years of age are required to test annually to make sure they are still fit to drive. Car insurance generally takes a very real jump in price of premium just as soon as someone turns 70. Employers in most areas of the economy won’t even talk to a 70 year old about a job.

“AGING OUT OF THE SYSTEM”

Airline pilots typically ‘age out’ of their jobs long before turning 70. Police and fire officers ‘age out’ long before turning 70. City, county, state, and federal employees age out long before they turn 70.
Given the continual ‘aging out of the system’ which is the norm in America, how is it that the most important and influential jobs have no age limit? An incompetent or overage taxi driver can crash and kill a few people in a worst case scenario. One could reason that an overage and incompetent cab driver is almost certain to injure or kill eventually. Equally, an incompetent or overage president can kill tens of thousands of people and doom even more to the tyranny of inequality. Both examples here, overage and incompetent cab driver and president, have occurred. Even at the writing of this article, we are faced with a U.S. President who, overage and incompetent, has killed and continues to kill countless people not only in America but around the world.
How is it that elected leaders are allowed to continue, regardless of age and mental competence, with no systematic or regular testing? We test drivers annually when they get really old. If they pass the test, they get a 1-year license renewal. If they fail, it’s time to take the bus!
Shouldn’t we be testing elected officials over the age of 70? If they pass the test, they get a 1-year extension [depending on natural expiration of term]. If they fail, it’s time to go home!
In both the case of automobile operators and elected officials, it’s a minor inconvenience to be tested for effective cognition and suitability to the task of either driving a car, truck, semi, or the government. Leaders such as California Senator [D] Diane Feinstein, age 89, California Representative [D] Maxine Waters of California, age 82, California Representative [D] Nancy Pelosi, age 82, President of the United States [D] Joseph Biden, age 80, show us a lot.
The above named elected officials have shown erratic behaviour and unstable character. They do some really crazy shit and get away with it! Past President of the US, Donald Trump, was pushed into taking an exam to establish his mental competence. He passed with flying colours, clearing him to go on leading the country.
I don’t see Joe Biden taking this test, ever! Of course that’s because he knows he would not pass!
People in the most sensitive and powerful positions of government have wormed their way to the top. Their senility, immorality, and nastiness in general have placed them in key positions from which to destroy our nation. From our economy to our very morality, these people work tirelessly with insidious forces while protected in their bubbles of privilege, wealth, political power, and advanced dementia.

TAKE THE TEST OR GO HOME!

Based on the horrific situation we now face, there can be only one solution, and that is to test any and all elected officials or candidates for effective cognitive proficiency. We need to keep the imbeciles and other mentally incompetents out of the offices which afford them the broad based power of elected office. Test them all! Take the test, or go home!
