LEGISLATURE’S INSIDER TRADING
Congress & Senate enjoy special privilege, laws unto themselves
How is it that members of the House and Senate are able to make insider trades, capitalizing on proprietary information to make fortunes on the stock market, in commodities and futures? In the very best place to see and act on this, members of the legislature have grown fat, rich, and happy.
If Joe Lunchbox makes a trade and it can be proven that he was privy to proprietary ‘inside’ information he’s going to jail. Yes, “Go to jail. Go directly jail.” In the meantime there is a powerful incentive for the criminally minded and greedy to want to run for elected federal office.
To begin with, these are actually pretty cushy jobs with long recesses and vacation days aplenty. Even an incompetent like Joe Biden survived decades in government, pretty much doing nothing of note other than cashing in on myriad financial opportunities presented him by various special interest groups.
It’s the most subtle of bribes. Call it ‘a bribe within a bribe’ as a member of the legislature is easily swayed in exchange for information … profitable information on certain stocks, bonds, commodities, etc. They play the casino that is the market, but for them the dice are loaded.
If we don’t do something about this, enacting legislation to reign them in, we are doomed to the failure of all other unjust and unrighteous nations.
