WHAT MAKES US SO THIN-SKINNED?
Once a brave and bold people, we have degenerated to weak-kneed sissies!
Long before I was born, or anyone reading or listening was born, Americans were known around the world as freedom loving champions of justice and fairness. We were the people who entered into world conflict more than once to protect ‘the little guy’ and fight for ‘the underdogs’ of the world. We were Americans.
Even I, in my tender 67 years, hark back to a simpler and braver time. I remember the old adage, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never harm me.” This is a time when people lived in relative peace one with another and something as silly as name calling was greeted with the shake of a head and pity for one so ridiculous as to lob ‘dirty names’ at others.
Bad manners were frowned upon and, for the most part, restricted to that distinct minority of the population we called ‘ignorant and pitiful’ at best, and ‘dastardly and despicable’ at worst. Above all, however, something as childish as ‘name calling’ almost never resulted in physical violence and certainly never rose to the level of being a crime.

The 21st Century shows us a ‘sissy state’ of namby pamby thin-skinned people who just can’t take name-calling in any form. No, it’s become such a thorn under the thin skin of most Americans that today ‘name calling’ can get you fired, black-balled, fined, and even jailed. Americans are now so weak and infirm of character they look to government to protect them from any level of verbal insult.
The real weakening of the people began with the far-left neo-Communists and the Soviet Union. With ‘sleeper agents’ sown across the land they infiltrated our education systems and news media. With these two powerful agents of propaganda the Communists began to indoctrinate our children from Kindergarten through College and the population at large from newsprint to radio and television.
As time progressed, the communist forces of evil managed to convert nearly every public school teacher, college professor, and pretty much all broadcast and print media. It was when the Soviet Union collapsed, a predictable fate for any Communist regime, that Beijing, China moved in. It’s said that nature abhors a vacuum and this adage has been shown to be true. That vacuum was immediately filled by a better prepared and far more calculating a foe … The Chinese Communist Party by way of Beijing.
The defeat of a country as mighty as the United States was impossible by means of conventional warfare. It could only have been done by playing on our infirmity of mind and shallowness of character. With this strategy they caused us to collapse upon ourselves. Having become fat and happy, no longer accustomed to hard times, the American people fell quickly and easily into the pit of complacency from which Communist forces could harvest the weakest of the weak, converting them to the ‘thin-skinned’ easily offended people they are today.
Today the very law of the land has been rewritten allowing for a new phenomenon called, ‘Hate Crime’. It’s these supposed crimes that offend which are now on the books. If someone uses a racial slur, especially against a black person, you can easily cost him his education, career, livelihood, home, family, and even freedom or life.
Today these ‘Hate Crimes’ have been expanded to protect racial minorities, homosexuals of every demented and perverse variety, Muslims and Illegal Aliens of every stripe, breed, and intent. There is no ‘special protection’ for Catholics, Mormons or Christianity at large. Nor do we see ‘special protection’ afforded Caucasians [that’s white people] or the ‘straight and moral’ heterosexual. Our country has turned its fangs on its citizens and all at the behest of America’s new masters, Communist China.
We are nearly lost. What can be done? Amid the shifting landscape of politics and morality our last possible hope is to register Republican and vote conservative in the upcoming primaries. In the upcoming General Election in November we need to vote once again. Only through the ballot box can our country find a peaceful transition to morality, normalcy, decency, and freedom. Only the ballot box can protect us from otherwise inevitable Civil War.
Nobody wants to fight, but many of us are trained, prepared, and so motivated. Vote! It’s your last chance for peaceful recovery of our once honourable way of life.
