BEWARE THE FAKE PATRIOT

He’s a false patriot, softened by a life of privilege.  A man in his 50’s he’s never gone hungry.  He’s never ‘gone without’.  He’s never grown up.  Despite strong pronouncements of patriotism, he is oblivious to the true price of freedom.

I ask this egoist, “What has been the cost of your freedom?  What have you contributed to society? Are you a paying passenger or just a freeloader?"

I stand among the ranks of Military, Civil, and Humanitarian Service Veterans.  I’ve paid a small but sure price for America’s freedom.

Life in a bubble protects one from the need to be courageous, to take risks.

Societal Contribution is rarely, if ever, made from within the protective bubble of privilege.  Thus his rhetoric is meaningless.

Remember this: "… ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” ... President John F. Kennedy
