A Look at Opioids Pt. 2
The ‘Polydrug’ Situation
By Max Allen

We hear a lot about ‘Opioid Related’ issues.  Opioid Related’ means an Opioid been co-involved with another substance.

Mixing drugs has become 'fashionable' among those who use.

What the government and others with ‘a dog in the fight’ aren’t telling us is that Recreational Opioid Users almost always take other drugs along with their Opioid.  Drugs such as alcohol or marijuana are most favoured, and most available.

Drugs and Alcohol [a powerful drug itself] Polydrug, not just 'Opioid.

What the government and others with ‘a dog in the fight’ aren’t telling us is that Recreational Opioid Users almost always take other drugs along with their Opioid.  Drugs such as alcohol or marijuana are most favoured, and most available.

The moment you mix Opioids with other drugs you’ve got a ‘Poly-Drug Event’.

Alone, Opioids aren’t nearly as dangerous as portrayed.  A careful look at statistics shows that Opioids lawfully prescribed and carefully managed, are among the safest pain management drugs in use today.

Let’s not confuse ‘Opioid Death & Addiction’ with ‘Poly-drug Death & Addiction’.

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it.
