WOMAN GETS A YEAR IN JAIL FOLLOWED BY 7 YEARS PROBATION FOR THROWING PUPPIES IN THE TRASH
THAT'S 8 YEARS OF HER LIFE AND A FELONY RECORD!

A Gross Disparity of Justice
By Max Allen

A woman in Coachella, California, has been sentenced to a year in jail and seven years probation for throwing a bag of puppies away in a dumpster.  She was convicted of seven counts of felony animal cruelty and seven misdemeanour counts of animal abandonment.
Puppies in a dumpster. Animal Cruelty, very sad.
MEANWHILE:  A woman in Orangeburg County, South Carolina has been sentenced to jail for what amounts to 18 months with time off for good behaviour. There will be no probation afterward.  She was convicted of felony child endangerment for stuffing her newborn baby into a plastic bag and tossing him into a dumpster.  The baby, Thank God, has survived and is doing well.

THAT'S TWO YEARS OR LESS WITH GOOD BEHAVIOUR FOR TOSSING A BABY IN THE DUMPSTER!  CRAP!  THE WOMAN WHO TOSSED PUPPIES INTO THE DUMPSTER GETS 8 YEARS NO MATTER WHAT!

A human tragedy, worse than sad.
Exactly what is wrong with this picture anyway?  Since when have dogs had more rights than people, huh?

SUMMARY:  How in Hell is it that people who abuse animals are routinely subjected to harsher legal and civil penalties than those who abuse humans such as veterans, elderly, and children?

What kind of world do we live in when a woman can get a harsher sentence for tossing dogs in the dumpster than a woman who tossed a live baby [double-bagged I might add] into a dumpster?  This is sick!  This is wrong!  This sucks!  IT MAKES ME SO MAD I COULD JUST SPIT AND THROW THINGS!  IT'S WRONG DAMMIT!  IT'S CRIMINAL ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! IF THERE IS CARDINAL SIN, THIS IS IT!

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it.
