Government seems hell-bent to tell us how to spend money

These silly b@st@rds can't manage their own personal or government finances, so they've no business telling us how to spend our money.  From fluorescent lights to water saving toilets, they've really gone overboard.  There is no 'higher purpose' in their decisions.  The fact is it's all a matter of control!

They want total control over every aspect of your lives!
