When you look at racial prejudice in America you must look at both sides of the issue. It was Lao Tze who said, “Every coin has two sides.” With this sage wisdom we must remember that prejudice is like a knife in that it cuts both ways and it cuts to hurt. From any race or religion prejudice may emanate. In America we hear of a ‘systemic’ which is largely assumed by American broadcast media and those who follow and believe their word to be infallible.
We are taught that this systemic prejudice consists of white people being against blacks. However, anyone with even an iota of wisdom will immediately realize that an equal amount of prejudice is held by black people against whites. From race to religion we hold certain prejudices to be self evident. Any time we denigrate another for his religion, race, ethnicity or heritage, we denigrate ourselves. In the words of Doel Cam Nai, “Tolerance is to be cherished, nurtured, and spread about with liberal abandon."
No one knows what is next. I am a sage. I am not a prophet. I pray for knowledge and I pray for wisdom.
Please pray with me. Doel Cam Nai
