MUST WE REALLY HAVE TO WATCH THIS?

I can think of a thousand more appealing images than that of someone brushing his or her teeth.  In a recent viewers’ study it was found that nearly 87% of all television shows and movies depict somebody brushing their teeth.  This includes television advertisements.  Even in cases where it would seem to be non-sequitur, somebody is bound to be shown brushing their teeth.

From insurance company ads to sitcoms to full-length Hollywood releases, it seems writers somehow manage to shoehorn in a scene with somebody brushing his or her teeth.  From Horror Films such as Child’s Play to Insurance Commercials such as GEICO’s ‘clogging problem’ and all forms in between, it seems that brushing one’s teeth on both the small and silver screens is mandatory or at least obligatory for some reason.  Why?” I ask.

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
