Americans are an amazing people. Having fed and protected others around the world, their generosity and courage are the stuff of legend. However, their schizophrenic character confuses even the wise. Just as often they’ve sown the seeds of the very tyranny they’ve claimed to oppose.
In the words of Doel Cam Nai, “Americans are a mean spirited, hard-hearted, and hypocritical people; ever seeking forgiveness but never willing to forgive.” Their ‘Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.’ mentality stands in stark contrast with their self-professed ‘Christian Values’. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Let us turn to our neighbours in the spirit of forgiveness and understanding so that wisdom might once again flow in the dry river bed that was once a stream of understanding, wisdom, and love. God says, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:”
No one knows what is next, I am a sage. I am not a prophet. I pray for knowledge and I pray for wisdom. Please pray with me.
