In examining our baser instincts, we are at best a mob. Within each of us is a need to follow, to belong; to act at the behest and direction of others. We see this mob mentality that has gripped America. We align ourselves with political parties such as Democrat or Republican, caring not of their motives but simply following like sheep. We surrender our hearts to racist, even terrorist, groups such as Black Lives Matter or ANTIFA, caring not of their motives but simply following like sheep. We surrender our civility to the division, deceit, anger, and evil of groups, any groups, just so long as we ‘belong’.
In the words of a sage, “One man will cry alone. Two men will cry out together. Three men will band, riot, steal, and kill.” Is not this evil instinct a cross which we all must bear? Only in humble prayer can we relieve ourselves of the social, political, and racial division which tear at our very souls. Only through the grace of God can we be delivered from the hatred that drives us to riot, loot, burn, and kill; all in the name of a hollow cause.
Pray to Almighty God from the evils of belonging and the mob mentality. Act in accordance with our prayers in practicing ‘active faith’.
No one knows what is next, I am a sage. I am not a prophet. I pray for knowledge and I pray for wisdom. Please pray with me.
