CHINA’S DICTATOR … 5 MORE YEARS!
Xi Jin Ping, undisputed leader of China for 5 more years.
The People’s Congress and Chinese Communist Party passed a joint resolution granting Chairman/President Xi another term of 5 years. This is largely [but not entirely] unprecedented as China has long held term limits to the post of president. Two 5 year terms is generally the limit of one’s presidency.
Only twice before has this been done. It was the nation’s founder, Chairman Mao Zi Dong, and later the infamous Deng Xiao Ping who were granted additional terms of office. This move doesn’t come without protest from many in the People’s Congress and in the Politburo itself.
When he took office, Chairman Xi made a bold move in his ‘China Dream’, which is a return to earlier Maoist philosophy and politics. A part of his ‘China Dream’ policy has involved the slaughter of tens of thousands, imprisonment of over a million, and exile of tens of thousands of fellow Chinese. This has not sat well with many in government, but Xi had attained a ‘first’ in Chinese history.

This first involves ‘the milking stool’ of Chinese leadership. The stool is said to have three legs: The national presidency, the party chairmanship, and the military’s commander-in-chief. Ever since Chairman Mao formed China as it is today, these three legs of the stool have been relatively autonomous. Never before has anyone held all three offices, having total command of all that is China. Even the late Chairman Mao Zi Dong held only 2 of these legs.
It is this triad power that has surely played in the government’s surrender to a 3rd term for Xi Jin Ping. While the two bodies of government, the politburo and the people’s congress, approved this additional term for Xi, it hasn’t gone over so well with senior party officials and military commanders across the board.
With China in such a dominant world role and position with their megalomaniacal leader installed for another 5 years, and America’s president showing incompetence and weakness, it will be interesting to see what comes of this.
