THE ‘GREATER IDAHO’ MOVEMENT
More Oregon counties want to leave, becoming Greater Idaho
Dateline Oregon – Five of Oregon’s eastern counties have voted in favour of becoming a part of neighbouring Idaho. Baker, Grant, Lake, Malheur, and Sherman counties got on board with Union and Jefferson counties which have already voted to leave Oregon.
More Oregon counties vote to consider joining Idaho, part of rural effort to ‘gain political refuge from blue states’. The major concern of these counties is their ‘less than fair representation’ in Salem, the state’s capitol. The huge population of Portland [an extremely liberal city] outvotes virtually all rural counties. Hence, they want to be free.
Oregonians are crying, “Let our people go!” I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
