A TRAVESTY OF INEQUITY
A New Jersey man charged with 'hate crimes’ but nothing physical.
Dateline Mount Laurel, New Jersey – Here it is in a nutshell. A white guy was fed up with his black neighbour’s racist behaviour and disrespect toward him because ‘he is white’. Finally his temper flared and he got in his neighbour’s face.
45-year-old Edward Cagney Mathews was pissed, really pissed, but at no time did he strike or push his neighbour. He hurled racial epithets such as N_gg_r, and called him a monkey. Well, okay, so this guy Edward Matthews is an insensitive racist himself. He was wrong to do what he did but, here is what the media misses: His neighbour is a racist as well.
Unfortunately, when two racists get into it, it’s the white one who gets arrested. You see, a number of laws in a number of states have declared black people as ‘protected class’ which means elevated prosecution of anyone who verbally assaults them … or worse.
