We discussed how it is that driving under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering drugs has been played down for decades. Every day drunk drivers cost family members the lives they've enjoyed. The loss for insurance companies is horrific, and the death toll continues to mount.
A drunk driver is a killer looking for a victim.
As I said with Kevin, "What in Hell is going on here?"
P.S. A drunk driver is piloting 2 or more tons of rubber, glass, and metal at speeds sufficient to kill multiple people with just the flick of a wrist or tug of the hand. This kind of power, the judgment of life and death, should never be put in the hands of anyone, especially anyone so irresponsible as a drunk [or drug affected] driver.
