‘Amazing’ is a word which applies to so many facets of Elon Musk’s life. This is the absolute genius who bores tunnels with amazing precision and speed, flies re-useable rockets into space, makes electric cars, and so much more. Well, now he’s got a new thing to talk about.
Elon Musk says the new Tesla Roadster Will Use Rocket Thrusters to Hit 0-60 in 1.1 Seconds. That kind of acceleration will make the Tesla Roadster [with SpaceX rocket booster package] will be nearly twice as fast as any street legal car in the world. On top of that, it’ll be the fastest ‘production automobile’ in the world.
Think about this: A Porsche 918 Spyder takes the 0-to-60 in 2.1 seconds under ideal conditions. Cool, but here comes a Tesla for a great deal less money tearing that time to 1.1 seconds meaning it’s about 75% faster! Absolutely no street legal car in the world can keep up with this!
