IN 2022 WILL THE NEWS LOSE?
People are growing disenfranchised when it comes to the media
2021 saw a dramatic decline in television, print, and online news ratings. People no longer trust the major news sources including but not limited to The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, and a bevy of other news outlets which qualify as ‘Mainstream Media’.
According to the Pew Study of April, 2021 television news ratings fell to all time lows with 87% of viewers saying they have lost confidence in television news, both local and national. The same study shows that over 92% of newspaper subscribers don’t believe what they read anymore. The numbers for social media and online major media hover around 90 ~ 94% disapproval.
So, where are Americans going for their news? This study shows that people are turning to ‘specialized’ news sources such as ‘The Daily Wire’, ‘The Max Allen Report’, ‘Sekulow Live’ and other sources directed more toward their interests. These are where Americans are going for accuracy of events and for truth.
