DISNEY BOWS TO BEIJING
Comrade Mickey bows to the wishes of Comrade Xi Jin Ping
In deference to Beijing’s strict “There was no Tiananmen Square Slaughter” policy, the cable channel Disney+ has scrubbed an episode of “The Simpsons” where Homer and family visit China’s Tiananmen Square, site of the 1989 demonstrations where Chinese Troops opened fire on the crowd, killing hundreds.
Disney’s willingness, even eagerness, to pander to Beijing is concerning. When an American Icon like Disney shows itself friendly to our nation’s greatest enemy, we’re in trouble folks.
