ON THIS MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY
The first of a number of ‘appeasement’ holidays is upon us
As our nation trudges through the racism inspired by Washington and the media we fall to the unreasonable demands made by a few of so many. Our nation has a black population of 12%, and has realized racial unrest which has been and is still largely disproportionate in size and inappropriate in intensity.
It was 1968 when the very real effects of the few upon the many were felt. It was then that black racists burned down blocks of downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was then that the government began appeasement practices in order to stem future violence of such magnitude.
Today, on this Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday we are living but a single part of the appeasement policies of Washington and the media. Mr. King was a leader of a movement which spawned both quiet resistance and violence 2nd hand. He preached peace and helped to raise awareness of racial injustice for the then 7% of the American People. I acknowledge his part in the civil rights movement, for it cannot be denied.
On November 2, 1983 black racial tension was on the rise and pressure to appease was so great from the growing left, supported by the media, that President Ronald Reagan reluctantly signed into law the establishment of a federal holiday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Not since March 6, 1961 when John F. Kennedy began initiated affirmative action legislation and not since Lyndon Johnson enacted sweeping welfare reforms favouring blacks had such a powerful pronouncement or rule been put into place. This, the establishment of a national holiday of appeasement, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was yet another dark mark on our nation.
In the face of so many others, black and white, who had contributed far more to the American way of life, it was decided to give the holiday to this man based entirely on his colour. His accomplishments not withstanding, his mark on the improvement and benefit of American Society paled in comparison to many others. Let’s also remember that no other force was more vocal in establishing this holiday that that of black racist activists and the Communist news media. Feigning public opinion, the press won and the holiday was thrust upon us.
The racial front had calmed down considerably during the Trump years as president, a far cry from the horrifically racist divisionist actions undertaken by President Barack Obama. This, however, was only to be yet another calm before yet another storm and yet another appeasement action.
Joe Biden assumed the Oval Office in January of 2021 and, amid his sweeping erasure of all things Trump, he managed to squeeze in yet another appeasement holiday, “Juneteenth”. This one was a reach but, as we have since seen, Biden is a divider of people, not a uniter. He has worked hard and long to ensure the increasing division between not only races but sexual preference, and the masked and the unmasked amid his perpetuated hysteria surrounding the China Originated Virus.
The cost of a national holiday is in the tens of millions of dollars. They are inconveniencing to both business and government alike as well as financially burdensome. When our nation observes a national holiday, it needs to be a well-deserved remembrance of a singularly overriding event or person. Martin Luther King, Jr. does not meet these criteria and neither does an army officer telling a group of slaves that they have been freed. While important to the individual, these events hardly rise to the level of importance demanding a federal holiday.
I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
