EXPOSING A COWARD
Such despicable behaviour can only come from a coward
Every once in a while you meet someone so obnoxious, hateful, and cowardly as to turn your stomach. You see him [or her] as you pass them by. You really don’t wish to engage such a person, but would be willing were it not for his [or hers] innate cowardice and unwillingness to confront. There is a certain air that surrounds this person that simply says, “Stay away.” In light of this, you do.
Unfortunately, there is such an obnoxious little tramp in our community. Avoiding him is in person is easy as he hides in the shadows of radio speech. Let me explain in a little more detail; my community enjoys a great little talk show hosted by Kevin Miller. This show is dedicated to the free speech and conversation of the people. This honourable dedication is both a strength and a weakness. Its strength is that it promotes free speech in a public forum. Its weakness is that it allows craven little weasels like Liberal Steve air time.
Coward: “… a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person.”
When one calls in to the show there is a certain anonymity granted by the microphone and distance provided by radio. Some of us use this as an open forum, eager to share ideas and discuss from different points of view. There is no ‘hiding behind the mic’ but an open and respectful dialogue.
Of course there are always trolls on talk radio, at least until they are rightfully banned from this forum. I want to introduce you all to one of the greatest trolls you can imagine. We’re talking about someone who calls himself, “Liberal Steve”. Liberal Steve is such as I have already said. This is a man so cowardly, so craven, as to not only hide behind the microphone but a moniker as well. He doesn’t care about current issues. His only concern is spewing his bile over the air. He attacks people on a personal level and ‘crosses the line of decency and courtesy’ often. In his efforts to keep talk radio open, Kevin Miller allows this weasel air time.
Liberal Steve, he of whom I speak, is a despicable little man craving attention and willing to get it in any arena and at any price … with the exception of physical debate. Here he can hide in the shadows of radio.
Why can’t people like Liberal Steve engage in face-to-face debate or discussion? The answer is simple;
Is Liberal Steve is a coward?
