LAWSUIT EXPOSES AMERICA’S CYNOPHILIA

America’s unnatural attraction/affection for dogs is danger to society

Dateline Harlem, New York, New York – A Manhattan woman took her pregnant French Bulldog to the vet as it seemed ready to deliver and the woman, Danette Arble, had no idea of what to do.  Obviously not an experienced breeder, but merely an owner, she felt the need to have a veterinarian supervise the delivery of puppies.

She demanded a progesterone test or an ultrasound, both of which the vet deemed unnecessary.  Arble, a Cynophiliac, wanted her dog to have “all the care and attention of a person.”  The doctor’s expertise, not the opinion of the owner, led him to perform a Caesarean Section to deliver the pups.  This due to the fact that French Bulldogs often lose entire litters in natural birth, making it ‘standard operating procedure’ to perform the surgery for delivering the puppies.

Cynophilia: “An unnatural and unhealthy attraction to dogs.”

The litter of 7 was delivered still-born.  The loss of such a large litter through either natural or surgical means is actually quite common.  The extensive inbreeding of French Bulldogs results in pelvic distortion making breeding extremely risky and problematic.  This isn’t good enough for Danette Arble, the dog’s owner.  No, despite the science of delivering pups from deformed breeds, she is ‘going for broke’ in a lawsuit against the veterinarian and his clinic.  She’s taking the ‘sue your pants off’ road in hopes of reaping a huge windfall.

Check this out.  Arble claims to have lost $25,000 she would have made if she were able to sell the designer puppies at documented AKC prices — if they’d survived delivery, according to court papers filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court.  Now, we did a little digging and spoke with the Margret Consedyne of the local breeder’s association.  She said, “She [Arble] is not a recognized breeder, but merely an owner.  Her dogs would never have received papered certification through the American Kennel Club.  As a result, these 7 puppies might [on a good day] have brought her $200 each, being sold as ‘pets’.”

This means, let’s do the math; that’s 7 puppies at $200 each, which means a gross income of $1,400.  Arble, an owner not a breeder, insists she could have gotten $25,000 for the litter.  That comes to over $3,500 each.  According to our expert: “Not happenin.  The woman is obviously attempting to profit an enormous amount of money through a law suit.

Antonia Adonov, a noted dog behaviourist, spoke with me and she says, “In order for Ms. Arble to have received $3,500 per pup, the mother and father of the pups would have to have been AKC registered as “show quality” and have demonstrated actual show awards in competition.  It’s a 3-tiered pricing structure: Tier 1 is a home bred [state registered] breeder product.  Tier 2 is an AKC registered product of an AKC registered pair.  Tier 3 is the product of an AKC registered show-winning pair.”

Adonov goes on to say that, even if the litter had been delivered successfully, a number of the puppies would likely have died later of birthing complications due to the exceptionally large size of the litter.

Arble, a Manhattanite with ‘zero’ experience in breeding dogs, wants reimbursement for ‘funeral expenses’ as well!  What kind of cuckoo bird gives a dead puppy a funeral?  She should have spent that money on psychiatric care for herself!  Here’s the killer; on top of the $25,000 for loss of income, $4,000 in vet and x-ray bills, and $2500 for funeral expense; she seeks unspecified damages for having been “deprived of the comfort, society, care, love and affection” of the puppies.

Question:  If she was going to sell the puppies, then what “ … comfort, society, care, love and affection” is there for any form of reimbursement?

Summary: She wants over $31,000 plus the ‘pain and suffering’ of a demented mind.

My opinion; throw this case out!  Maybe the vet should file a counter-suit for expenses and ‘pain and suffering’.

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
