WHY MILK JUGS HAVE DENTS

When you buy a gallon of milk it has depressions on both sides

Simply put, plastic milk jugs have those dents on the sides to prevent the jug bursting if you drop it.  These are ‘expansion surfaces’ designed to pop up in case of too much pressure, such as dropping it on the floor.

Milk, I’d rather drink it than drop it.  I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
