IS IT TOO LATE TO TURN OUR SHIP AROUND?

IS IT TOO LATE TO TURN AROUND?

As America heads toward the rocks, is it too late to steer clear?

The good ship “USA”, captained by a divisive and criminally incompetent traitor, is headed for complete and total destruction.  The crew seems blind to the oncoming disaster and spends its time bickering between themselves as how to spend the treasure they have amassed.

Captain, I’ve found stowaways below decks, what should I do?” shouts 1st Mate Harris.  What shall we do?” echoes senior deck hand Pelosi.  Captain Joe replies, “They’re not stowaways, but undocumented crew and shipmates.  I never want to hear that word ‘stowaway’ again.

As the ship yaws and rolls out of control nobody listens to the 1st mates in the crow’s nest and at the bow.  1st Mates Cruz and Paul cry out, “The rocks, the rocks, we’re headed for the rocks!  But Captain Biden is deaf to their cries as they shout and point to the jagged rocks and rogue waves.  1st Mate Cruz again cries out, “Look to the lighthouse, the lighthouse on Common Sense Point.  You’ve got to turn around now, if it’s not already too late.  Captain, turn this ship around!”  Again he points to the brightly illuminated rocky shore and the piercing light from the towering lighthouse at Common Sense Point.

Hey man, stop your yelling.” replies the captain.  Not now.  We must decide how much to pay our undocumented crew and shipmates for breaking into our hold, eating our food, spending our money, and molesting the women and children aboard.  We owe them and they will be paid!

On borrowed money, sails tattered and a rudder that’s hard to turn, the good ship USA seems doomed.  Crewed by the criminally incompetent crew of the legislature it would seem that all is lost.

But wait!  Is there a mutiny a’ brewing?  There is a growing complement among the crew and the passengers of this ship.  They see the lighthouse and the rocky shore looming in the night.  As their cries are ignored and their captain seems hell bent on taking all their lives, will they mutiny?

The only answer is mutiny by whatever means necessary.  As ship’s navigator and ‘Town Crier’ to the ship’s complement I advocate open mutiny.  I am already deemed mutinous by those at the helm.  I will continue to cry until it is obvious to me that nothing can save this ship.  Let that time come and I will lower my lifeboat, headed for the safety of a saner craft.

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
