ON PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
The sage said, “Responsible behaviour is what makes us adults.” As we go through life, at any stage, we are responsible for many things; principally our behaviour and our actions. When we shirk responsibility, there are consequences. The consequences of behaviour are pleasant when we have acted responsibly, and most unpleasant when we have acted irresponsibly.
God has given us our own free agency, the ability to act of our own volition and to accept the consequences of irresponsibility. From personal hygiene to matters of life and death, responsible behaviour is what sets us apart from the rest. It’s easy to fall into the pit of irresponsibility. It’s easy to cast aside effort in favour of ease. These are our rights to pursue in light of consequence.
No one knows what is next, I am a sage. I am not a prophet. I pray for knowledge and I pray for wisdom. Please pray with me.
