“Your Papers Please!”
Keep in mind that the United Kingdom is not a free country, and has not been for hundreds of years, lacking a true Constitution to guarantee citizens’ rights. In the latest governmental outrage the British Parliament is now seriously considering ‘Vaccination Passports’ for all of its citizens.
Essentially, this will be your ‘permission to live’. Failure to produce this passport will block you from grocery stores, gas stations, schools, public building, public transportation, entry into certain neighbourhoods, and even hospitals.
As it was in the former Soviet Union and before that Nazi Germany, the line, “Show me your papers.” may well become a part of the ‘new normal’ for residents of the UK. This cannot be tolerated. If Great Britain falls under the Jack Boot of Virus Authoritarianism it may well find its way to the United States.
