------------------------------------------------------------
In America we enjoy the influence of a plethora of races, cultures, and religions. The history of races other than Black America is treated as insignificant, For some reason we toss aside nearly 87% of our population in deference to the special treatment afforded to American Blacks.
It’s as if there were no such thing as ‘White History’, or at least that it’s not worth celebrating. The Hispanic and Asian people in our country have histories equal if not more interesting and colourful, but their celebration is nowhere to be found. It just seems wrong, really.
Why don’t we celebrate, for example, January as White History Month? How about May as Latin American History Month? We should probably not forget our wonderful Asian communities, so how about March as Asian History Month? The wrongness of Black History Month and the obvious racism of having such a month go without saying, but I have said it anyway.
I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
