THERE IS NO JOY IN BOSTON: OR MLB BASEBALL

THERE IS NO JOY IN BOSTON

Common Sense has struck out.

Some of you reading or listening to this post will no doubt take umbrage with what I have to say but, what the Hell, here goes!

Fans of the Boston Red Sox, an American Major League baseball team, are up in arms … against one another … over the less than stellar performance of their team this season.  Their team’ … that’s a pitiful title to hang on any baseball team or fan for that matter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IT’S NOT ‘YOUR’ TEAM.  GET OVER IT!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First: It’s not ‘your team’, its John Henry’s team.  Henry owns this team and you don’t.  You fans are nothing more than the pathetic reflection of your lost hopes and broken dreams.  You are a pathetic and pitiful lot of sad, sorry, unfulfilled individuals.  Take this as it’s intended and for God’s sake … GROW UP!  IT’S ONLY A GAME!  IT’S JUST A GAME!  THAT’S ALL!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FOR MLB IT’S MONEY!  FOR YOU IT’S JUST A GAME!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems the most virulently deranged fans come from the Northeastern part of the country.  Look at the Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Mets, and any of those teams entrenched in the dark hole of inbreeding; The American Northeast.  Perhaps it’s the hundreds of years of inbreeding that can be blamed for the almost universally unsportsmanlike conduct of ‘fans’ of any professional or NCAA sports.  Maybe it’s just because their lives are so empty, so desperate, and so hopeless.

Hey, fans!  Try attaching fealty to your families, close friends [if you have any] and your God.  Try saying, “That’s my son.” Or even, “That’s my God.”  This makes sense because your son or your God is more than happy to be identified as such and you have a very healthy personal and emotional attachment to them.  But a baseball team?  Get real!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YOURS IS A PITIFULLY MISPLACED LOYALTY!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A professional baseball team consists of a group spoiled, over-paid, new-money millionaires reveling in their newfound fame and wealth as they literally play for pay.  They are surely not worthy of your adulation, praise, or loyalty.  GET OVER IT!

Fans fighting in the stands is only one sign of many of their own moral decay and radically reduced IQs.  [Again we address the centuries of inbreeding for which the Northeastern U.S. is infamous].  For those of you with an IQ higher than that of a drunk monkey I offer my condolences for being a part of the same subspecies of ‘baseball fans’.  I like a good ball game, even a bad one if I am in the stands.  It’s fun to cheer for a player who just hit a home run or successfully stole a base.  It’s great to munch on a horribly overpriced hot dog and drink an equally overpriced and warm soda while getting into the spirit of a good game … but those days are fading fast in the shadows of ‘fandom’.

I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
