A MYSTERY STEEPED IN LIES

WHERE'S STEVE?

In this morning the question continues as we hear from a KIDO Radio contributor/character who goes by the handle of 'Liberal Steve'.  He currently claims to live in Tucson, Arizona.  This claim of locality falls in line with Prescott, Paraguay, and a number of other fabricated locations since he claimed to have left Idaho.

It is interesting, but one thing's for sure; he's not in Tucson!  His claim this morning is that he was in Tucson and the temperature was already, at 8am their time, was already 97F.  A quick check with the National Weather Service shows the temperature was just breaking 81F at the time of Steve's claim.  This discrepancy falls in line with several others over the many months in which he has claimed to have left Idaho.

It's fun and interesting and quite a game.  "Where's Steve?"

P.S.  Liberal Steve is a character nursed along by the radio station as a form of amusement and confusion.  His actual views, opinions, and location are pretty much 'in the wind' and nobody really knows just what goes on in his head.  He may well be the addled character he portrays or perhaps he's a good actor.

One thing's for sure, when people hear he is about to go on air, a bevy of listeners tunes out.  We hear more and more from people who simply won't tolerate the idiocy and offence.  I wish the radio station would realize they are probably losing more listeners than gaining as a result of this offensive character, Liberal Steve.
