WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE ...
MARTHA'S VINEYARD JOINS 'THE REAL WORLD'
For generations Martha's Vineyard has been a refuge for the uber rich, uber liberals
from around the country. This is one of
the last 'untouched' bastions of
Socialist Liberalism in the country, a place where never is heard a
conservative word, and the Commies all come out to play.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
has sent two planeloads of Illegal Aliens to the 'Island of the Rich & Privileged', Martha's
Vineyard. Local officials there were told about the new
arrivals only after they had landed, off-loaded, and the planes had already left
empty and happy. Town Administrator
Jennifer Rand says, "I've been deluged in angry
texts, furious texts, and don't know where we will go from here. I'm unclear about the situation, as is
everybody, because everybody is scrambling a bit."
Already, according to Rand,
about 50 to 60 Illegals are headed to the St. Andrews Church in Edgartown and will also spill over into the
prestigious hang-out of 'Ag Hall',
the Martha’s
Vineyard Agricultural Society Headquarters. But that won’t work for long
because the facility doesn’t have beds or showers. Add to that the immense burden of feeding,
policing, housing, and otherwise caring for them is a 'break the budget' issue.
The Martha's Vineyard Red Cross, with limited resources, is "not yet participating" in the official
response. In a prepared statement the
Red Cross said that it's "been in contact with
local emergency management, and while we have not yet been asked to provide any
local support, we stand ready to do that."
I spoke with a member of the 'migrant relief' working closely with finding
support for the Illegal Aliens. Her name
is Mabel Winchester, and she says, "I suppose
this is karma in spades. We've all shouted
out over immigration policy, favouring a mostly open border in the south. We've never really addressed the human
tragedy taking place down there but now I guess it's our turn."
Maybe it is 'their turn', and
maybe local government will pressure state government which will pressure that empty-headed tin man in the Oval Office and maybe
that'll start to change things around here.
I'm Max, and that's the way I see it!
