In the ever wacky world of Guinness Records, here’s one worth its suds. Yup. Here we go:
Dateline, California, March 12, 2021 – The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company took on, and broke, the Guinness World record for catapulting a beer keg. No, it was empty. Like most folks, they would never let a good beer go to waste, so they filled the keg with water.
Okay, here we go with the Brand a manager pulling the lever, their huge trebuchet (a type of catapult used by the French military a long, long time ago) launched a beer keg (not weighing any less than 44 pounds) to a distance of 438 feet.
The manager said that they needed a ‘different’ way to launch a new brand of beer, and launch it they did! With a previous world record of 253 feet, they outdid themselves! Hic, hic, hiccup … away! Way too much fun for anyone, really!
I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
