Well, the boy genius, Elon Musk, is headed for a direct collision with continued success! As his SpaceX efforts continue, they are on the cusp of developing a fully reusable rocket ship.
Their latest upgrade successfully completed its ‘static fire’ test, which means running the engines all out at full throttle while the rocket is secured to the ground. Yep, physically it goes nowhere, but in actuality it takes SpaceX a long, long way toward their eventual goal of a fully reusable interplanetary space ship.
Once this is done Elon will do a low-altitude flight test of his star ship again, just to be sure it can land without incident. Okay, when that done, he steps on the gas pedal and the entire testing schedule is accelerated.
The anticipated SN11 will not be followed by SN12, but SN15, 16, and 17! This means an acceleration of original plans! It means a significant one! This, along with successful tests of the “Super Heavy” booster will push plans along at such a pace that any “competition” in the space industry will be left completely in Musk’s dust.
