Baldwin Park, California - The California Highway Patrol caught a driver using the high-occupancy lane while driving unaccompanied. Well, not completely alone. Not really.
It seems this guy had a mannequin in the passenger seat of his pickup truck. The police officer actually pulled the guy over because the truck’s window tinting was too dark for him to see if there was a passenger in the truck.
There ya go Officer Friendly. With nothing better to do than stop someone suspected of maybe not having a passenger in the High Occupancy Lane, this is a perfect example of over-funded police. If they’ve nothing better to do than go around searching for HOV felons then we don’t need to pay them for something as petty as this. It’s a sorry commentary … understandable in the police state of California.
Well, back to business here. The CHP said the mannequin was "by far, one of the best dummies we have ever seen." Look at the picture here. The mannequin is dressed well, looks incredibly realistic, and even has on a protective face mask. Well done actually.
This being California, a police state of insidious repute, the driver faces fines up to $490.
Funny on one hand. Sad on another.
I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
