Dateline Mojave, California – The absolutely gigantic Stratolaunch jet flew for its second time as it lifted gracefully into the clear skies of Southern California. It’s got six huge engines and two, count them … two bodies. It’s like two jets fused into one in a side-by-side configuration known as “twin fuselage”.
Sure, this isn’t the first plane to sport the twin-fuselage design, but it’s certainly the largest, most powerful, and most imposing aircraft to ever do this. Its wingspan is 385 feet, which is considerably longer than an American Football field. Now that’s a wingspan!
Knowing my love of aircraft of all types, it’s not surprising that I would look into this beauty! Named “Roc” this giant of the air was developed by Microsoft co-founder, the late Paul G. Allen.

She’s a beauty, that’s for sure. I’m Max, and that’s the way I see it!
