THREE CHEERS FOR THE 2^ND AMENDMENT

Shopkeeper with a gun prevents probable murder and robbery

Dateline Norco, California – An elderly convenience store owner in California is a hero.  He shot an armed robber with his shotgun which sent him fleeing and wounded to the nearest emergency room where he and his cohorts were quickly apprehended.

According to Sheriff’s deputy Ronald Handelmen, “This could have gone very wrong.  The suspect was excited and carrying a loaded and cocked rifle.  Quick action by the owner avoided what may well have become a robbery turned murder.  When you’re looking down the barrel of a loaded gun it’s time to act; and act he did.”

This is exactly why the 2^nd Amendment to the Constitution is so very important.  When you erase this right you put the nation at the mercy of the violent criminal element.  Police have never, never ever, been able to protect us, but rather respond to life-threatening situations.  Only the very wealthy and politicians have 24/7 armed security around them all the time.
